A new year of Sunday School/Catechesis kicks off on Sunday, September 8. Every year, we begin with a potluck and presentation. Catechesis is a lifelong orientation to the Word of God, and is for every member of the congregation, both young and old.
September 8 Schedule:
9:00 am Divine Service
10:30 am Catechetical Presentation
11:30 am Potluck
Catechesis means “To Echo Back.” If you shout into a cave, you don’t hear something different back. Like an echo, in our study of God’s Word, we should be hearing exactly what God tells us. That process of learning and repeating the very words of the Bible is a lifelong process; why we call it Catechesis.

Join Faith Lutheran Church and Sursum Corda Classical School for a Back to School Blessing Pack! FREE Backpacks, School Supplies, Dinner, and a Blessing for the New School Year!
Join us for an evening to celebrate the blessing of a new school year! Every student in attendance with a parent will receive a backpack filled with supplies from the Oregon School District supply lists. All to the glory of God!
A very short presentation on balancing work/school and rest will be offered as well.
RSVP to our Backpack Giveaway and Dinner so we can make sure we have enough supplies for everyone!
(Faith members: Volunteers are needed to help give away school supplies and host a hot-dog & chips meal for our community here at Faith. Contact Pastor Hendrix if you can help)
