The Lord’s Prayer & the Lord’s Passion

March 30, 2018 by Pastor Hendrix Leave a Comment

The Lord’s Prayer is the prayer Jesus taught us to pray. He wants us to pray, and He even gives us a certain way we are to pray. He does this to show His grace and promises. Each petition is not only a request we make to God, but a promise He makes to us.

In Lent, Jesus fulfilled each one of these petitions and promises. See how in this video series.

Paschal Triduum

March 29, 2018 by Pastor Hendrix Leave a Comment

Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday form three holy days in which we see Him suffer and die for our sins and for the sins of the world, and then we see Him rise triumphantly on Easter morning to assure us that our salvation is complete, the victory is won.  These three days are called the Paschal Triduum.  Paschal = Greek term for the Passover’s fulfillment in the resurrection; Triduum = Latin for “Three Days”.

Technically, there are not three services over these three days, but one.  We merely pause in between each day and then reconvene to continue our observance of Jesus’ suffering, death, and resurrection.  Easter Sunday’s service is the conclusion of the service that begins tonight.
Download the service folder for the entire Triduum below:

God’s Easter Amen

March 6, 2018 by Pastor Hendrix Leave a Comment

If someone told you all these crazy things about themselves – including that they were God – would you believe them? What if that person also told you they were going to rise from the dead…and did.

How would that impact how you viewed everything else they ever said?

Join us April 1, a date coincidentally focused on ‘lies’ as we conclude our series on the Lord’s Prayer and dive into why we say “Amen” because of Easter.
